Beyond Borders is a summer enrichment program that draws on the transformative power of creating an intentional community of diverse cultures, ethnicities and economic backgrounds. Fourth through sixth graders from the San Francisco Bay Area broaden their perspectives and deepen cultural literacy by engaging in story-sharing, service learning, visual arts, technology and music. Through shared experiences and creative endeavors, Beyond Borders fosters self-awareness and self-respect along with a spirit of collaboration and respect for the dignity of others.

Beyond Borders Mission Statement
Beyond Borders brings together youth of different backgrounds to:
Develop a deeper understanding and acceptance of themselves and others
Nurture in them a sense of personal and social responsibility
Inspire them to work toward equity and justice in their communities
Beyond Borders is unique among Bay Area enrichment programs in its focus on the "global village," breaking down stereotypes and fostering respect, collaboration and creativity. The program is generously subsidized to ensure broad-based access.
